"Muster" is an old Middle English word meaning "a cause to gather." And so the Sudbury Companies of Militia & Minute assemble on a monthly basis for a meeting.

While we conduct some group business, we also host guest speakers who are experts in a wide range of domestic and military colonial matters.

We invite you to partake of these free and public meetings.

When are these meetings held?
Musters usually take place on the 1st Monday of each month with some exceptions. And the group does not meet the months of July and August while most people are taking vacations.

Where are these meetings held?
Musters are held at Longfellow's Wayside Inn, Sudbury Massachusetts, in the Ballroom upstairs. The meeting time is usually 7:30 pm. Often people meet at the Inn for libation and lively talk. For the December muster, the Sudbury Companies of Militia and Minute meet at the Martha-Mary Chapel that is located a short distance from Longfellow´s Wayside Inn.

How can I stay informed about these Musters?
Active group members subscribe to a list and receive a Muster Notice via email. Members of the public can view events on this website or subscribe to the list.
To inquire about specific events, contact the lt. colonel.
