The Sudbury Companies of Militia and Minute take great pleasure in marching in parades in nearby cities and towns. They get the opportunity to perform their manual of arms, firing their muskets to the delight of onlookers.

On Memorial Day, the Sudbury Companies of Militia and Minute, together with the Sudbury Ancients Fyfe and Drum Companie and a Civil War regiment, honor those men and women who have served their country with volleys at several cemeteries in Sudbury. Prior to the main parade, the Sudbury Companies of Militia and Minute, together with the Sudbury Ancients Fyfe and Drum Companie go to smaller cemeteries north of town where they fire their muskets in salute of those buried there.
